From an early age I loved drawing and painting wildlife and in particular
birds,
this led to a love of and a knowledge of the countryside.
Following
a number of one man exhibitions (starting at the age of 15!) it was
assumed my career would be in art, however just before I was about
to go to art college, I was offered a job with a local photographer
and at the time the choice between struggling artist and what I
thought an exciting career in photography. I took the job... the
rest is history.
I have continued my painting as a hobby
ever since but over the last two years have devoted more time
to it, again having now got a purpose built studio over looking the
fields of wildfowl on the river Loud I am now
planning my first
one man exhibition in years.

I am a keen fisherman, having been taught to fish on
local rivers by my grandfather, (this obviously helped to develop my
interest in birdlife) I try to spend as much of the Summer and Autumn
months fishing for Salmon on local rivers with visits to Scotland and
Ireland

Also a keen Cook in my very
limited spare time
I love creating new ideas with where ever possible
includes local produce and fresh fish...
if its been a good fishing year !!
